Gift Certificates: Gift certificates never expire, are non-transferable, and are subject to availabililty (eg; if a treatment offered ten years ago isn’t on the menu, you will be credited towards modern treatments with the initial amount paid.) Certificates are NOT REFUNDABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. That said, call up and pre-book your appointment time! Should you be cleaning out that old purse or cupboard and find your old, unused certificate…give me a call and we’ll get you in here!
The SPA on King, WaySpa and Spafinder, and Sambadays Gift Certificates: Please note that these cards are to be used for services only. They may not be redeemed for product or gratuities. For your convenience I can offer you a debit option for gratuities, but gift certificates and credit cards are not accepted for gratuities. Please note with Sambadays gift cards that the treatments must be performed in one visit and there are no substitutions. Thank you!
To confirm appointments booked with these cards, the number on the certificate must be provided to us 48 hours in advance to hold your space. The card will not be charged however until you come to your appointment. If your card does not cover the treatments you have, you may pay the balance by debit or credit. No exceptions, thank you!
Commitment to Best Sanitization Practice: At The SPA on King all implements utilized in nail treatments undergo hospital grade sterilization for your safety to ensure the highest standards of hygiene. What cannot be sterilized is safely disposed of post-treatment.
A note about pedicures: I cannot and will not work on fungal toenails, feet with warts or any other viral or fungal infections of the feet. Please disclose any foot issues prior to your treatment, I will refuse treatment if you have a contagious foot condition. See your physician and when it is all clear, please come back for a pedicure knowing your feet are safe with me. I offer diabetic foot care for those prone to infection.
Appointments are necessary, I am unable to accommodate walk-in traffic. Please disclose any allergies to our therapists for your health and safety. Note: the RMT and I use BioTone Massage Therapy Gel for the massage, and it contains grape-seed, apricot and sesame oils. My facial treatments use products that contain NUT OILS, avocado, aloe vera and more. Please tell me if you suspect you have an allergy of any kind.
Groups and Bridal Parties: There are no accommodations for parties or bridal parties of any size. Thank you for your understanding.
Speak & walk softly: My beautiful old building is part of the ambiance, however due to the 1923 construction, sound often carries easily over the original hardwood floors. Please speak & walk softly; if discussing your treatments with either of us, we will likely close the door to respect your privacy and to protect other guests from being interrupted by loud discussions. Upon entering the building please stay nice and quiet, it also benefits you by deeply adding to your relaxation.
Mobile Phones: I ask you to kindly disconnect while you are in my care. It is disruptive to you while you are trying to enjoy a treatment if your phone is distracting you. Just a suggestion.
Late Arrivals & Our Cancellation Policy: I take my business very seriously. Each appointment time is respectfully scheduled to ensure that our therapists have adequate set up and clean up time, and also ensures that YOU, our client, receive your treatment on time and that you are able to relax and enjoy your time with me without being rushed. Late arrivals will mean your treatment time will be reduced to ensure that the booked rooms are available for each client according to their correct booking time.
24 hours notice is required to cancel an appointment.
A valid Visa, Mastercard or AmEx is required when booking multiple treatments or packages.
100% of the value of the booked treatments will be charged to your credit card or deducted from your gift certificate if you are unable to meet the conditions of our cancellation policy. I cannot make exceptions to this as my business is entirely built around booking time for service. Thank you for your understanding.
Ensuring a Wonderful Spa Experience: Please arrive ahead of time by at least 15 minutes to fill out the necessary client consultation sheets. This ensures I am up to date on your health, allergies, treatment preferences and that I will be able to totally customize your experience. YOUR treatment will be one-of-a-kind, every time you visit me!
What to Wear: Please wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing to your appointment.

A note about children in the spa: Children under 16 years of age are not permitted in the Spa unless accompanied by an adult. Sorry, but I do not provide services for children under 16. This is for their safety and to ensure the peace and quiet our guests are seeking.
