Skin is SKIN. Banner-products-skin-is-skinFor those of us with acneic skin, or skin that tends to be both sensitive AND breakout – here is the recommended line up for home care that will keep your skin glowing and blemish-free between facials.

Acne Skin Type Recommendations

Products-icones-acnose_cleanser1. Acnose Cleanser for oily skin types.

This is your first step to clear, glowing skin. You will want to be sure to use lukewarm water, never hot – to safely cleanse without spreading infection.  Two things bacteria LOVE…hot water to proliferate and spread out over your whole face and agressive cleansing with drying products.  If you are doing this then stop!

Cleanse gently and effectively with a non-foaming gel cleanser.  Use fresh, clean towels with every face wash.  Never re-use towels…they harbour bacteria.

2. AHA Scrub

A gentle yet highly effective (and necessary step) exfoliant to coax those dead skin cells off your skin.  This is done after cleansing. Twice a  week is all you need.  Don’t over exfoliate! This leads to dryness lines and can cause more breakouts.  Physical exfoliants (those that contain grains, shells, or beads) can tear at acneic skin worsening your situation. AHA Scrub is designed to work enzymatically, the ingredients feed on your dead skin cells and leave the healthy, living tissue alone.

  • Emollient properties from avocado ideal for dehydration
  • Soothes skin irritation for sensitive skin
